Prepress
Penmor’s prepress department operation is capable of processing all of your jobs in a variety of computer programs. Whether you are working from a Mac, PC, updated, or outdated software our prepress department’s file management is versatile. Files are run through a preflight procedure to confirm proper bleeds, image resolution, and size specs to ensure you a quality product without compromise.
We are G7 certified and offer digital proofing, as well as Epson color proofs that are calibrated to our presses so you see your color first hand before the job goes to press. Our prepress department’s keen eye and attention to detail is the first step in creating the quality products that Penmor is known for.
Offset Printing
Penmor is an award-winning printer with versatile printing capabilities to handle all your needs.
For your larger projects, our pressroom is equipped with two 40-inch HUV perfecting presses that can print up to 6 or 8 colors. With HUV inks and perfecting capabilities, your printed piece dries instantly and can move immediately to our finishing department for faster turnarounds.
Special effects and coatings can make your project stand out from your competitors. We offer several coatings including gloss and matte UV, sandpaper, soft-touch, scented coatings, and reticulating pattern finishes. Our team can assist you in selecting the best coating techniques to fit your project.
Our pressroom also includes a 2-color duplicating press and two digital presses for your smaller projects and stationery items. With our staff of professional press operators and attention to detail, our quality can’t be beat.
Digital Printing
Do you need your job printed quickly and at a competitive price? Our on demand digital print services offer quick turn-arounds with the best digital quality in the industry.
Our RICOH PRO C9210 produces 2400 x 4800 dpi print quality with variable data options, in-line stitching and folding. It has a maximum sheet size of 13″x49.5″ up to 80# cover stock and 13″x27.5″ all other thicknesses.
Our RICOH PRO C7110X produces 1200 dpi resolution print quality with variable data options, in-line stitching and folding. It has a maximum sheet size of 13″x27.5″ and the ability to print 4 color process, as well as clear and white for eye popping special effects.
Signage and Wide Format Printing
With the EFI Rastek H652 UV hybrid printer, Penmor delivers best-in-class photographic image quality with white ink printing capability for all of your signage printing needs. The Rastek H652 can handle
a wide range of rigid and flexible materials. Maximum rigid material size is 5 feet by 10 feet up to 1.8″ thick and maximum roll material size is 5 feet by 100 feet. It’s perfect for banners, display graphics and signage.
So if you have a project that needs to stand out, Penmor has the capabilities to fulfill all your graphic needs.
Packaging
Penmor can handle your packaging needs. From boxes to header cards, Penmor creates quality packaging with in house die cutting, folding and gluing operations. Our versatility in packaging is flexible and leaves you with a variety of design options to best fit your specific product requirements.

Warehousing & Fulfillment
Utilize Penmor for your warehousing and fulfillment needs. Our in house warehousing operation will ensure that your product is safe and available to you when you need it. We offer product storage, kitting, and fulfillment. Your inventory will be properly managed by our in house system equipped to manage, update, and inform you when your product is low on inventory.

Being a Maine printing company, Penmor is proud to be a leader in the movement toward environmentally responsible printing and plant operations.
Positive green initiatives have been put in place to minimize our impact on the environment and solidify our commitment to a cleaner industry. These initiatives include the use of Solar Power, VOC Free UV curing inks, installation of energy efficient lighting throughout our facility, and a program to recycle 100% of our paper waste and printing plates.
Additionally, we have received FSC® certification. This certification indicates that Penmor supports the highest standards in the market of paper and printing process as put forth by the Forest Stewardship Council. Simply put: by choosing a printer with FSC certification, you are helping to take care of the world’s forests.
We continue to invest in new technologies as they become available and are proud to consider ourselves “green printers.”
ECF stands for any printing and packaging papers that have been manufactured with virgin fiber. PCF indicates that fiber is recycled and is unbleached or bleached with non-chlorine compounds. Customers are welcome to display these logos on projects that have been printed on ECF paper.
Penmor Lithographers is proud to be a team player in the chain-of-custody certification required by the Forest Stewardship Council. Customers of Penmor can be assured that any job printed on FSC paper may prominently display the FSC logo.
Our customers are welcome to consider the use of recycled paper. Projects printed on recycled paper, or partially recycled paper, can display the valuable recycled paper symbol, which in turn, represents environmental responsibility. We also buy our power from local solar farms in conjunction with Maine Community Solar.
